The multitude of brands, flavours, types and subtypes make it difficult to choose when buying. But is it really that important, and how do you choose the right one?
Toothpaste, along with the toothbrush, is a basic tool in maintaining oral hygiene and removing plaque. We brush our teeth mechanically and remove plaque, while it helps to eliminate harmful bacteria from the mouth and aromatizes the breath.
Also, thanks to fluoride, it helps to prevent tooth decay. For the right effect, we recommend applying 1 to 2 cm of it on a toothbrush, and for children under 6, a pea-sized amount of it is enough.
Choosing the right one mostly depends on yourself, your preferences, your health condition, and also the advice of the dentist.
Many have sensitive teeth, especially hot and cold. This is a very annoying problem, and excessive tooth sensitivity, if left untreated, can lead to a variety of health problems.
If you have sensitive teeth, be sure to visit a dentist to detect the exact problem. Strontium chloride and potassium nitrate are the main ingredients that every dentist will recommend in case of sensitive teeth.
These ingredients in combination can create a blockage between the tooth surface and the internal nerves and thus alleviate tooth sensitivity. On the other hand, in case of tooth hypersensitivity, it is recommended to avoid the ones that contain sodium lauryl sulfate.
Some whitening ones contain baking soda, which is slightly abrasive and binds to tooth stains, while others also contain stronger chemicals.
If you use them for a long time, these highly abrasive chemicals such as hydrogen peroxide or calcium peroxide can wear out tooth enamel and result in an unpleasant yellow colour.
Tooth whitening pastes are very difficult to achieve the same effect as professional and professional whitening, so if you want to be sure of the whitening effect, we suggest whitening your teeth under the supervision of a dentist where you can whiten your teeth to several shades.
Those that are used for the treatment of periodontitis have become very popular in recent times and are often advertised as a solution to periodontal problems.
It is important to note that it alone will not solve the problem of inflamed gums or periodontitis, but it is necessary to regularly and thoroughly monitor your dental situation and consult a dentist about possible therapy and use of the real ones.
In the case of special-purpose traps, it is important to know the effect of individual ingredients. For example, chlorophyll as an ingredient reduces bad breath. Penicillin, vancomycin, Terramycin, firothricin, etc. are added to antibiotic toothpastes.
Prophylactic ones are intended for the mechanical removal of soft deposits from teeth in the dental office. They contain a higher percentage of abrasive substances compared to the ordinary ones, so their application leads to the removal of the enamel surface layer.
Therefore, fluorides are added in high concentrations. Medical ones, in addition to the usual ingredients, contain various vitamins, antibacterial ingredients and more.

The creators of Theodent 300 flora-free toothpaste guarantee a second layer of mineralized enamel thanks to the unique Rennou ingredient that will strengthen and whiten your teeth.
Rennie was discovered by the Japanese Tetsu Nakamoto, and the miraculous ingredient contains cocoa beans.
As it turns out, Theodent 300 with its cocoa-based ingredients whitens teeth, strengthens tooth enamel and makes teeth healthier, more effective than fluoride-based ones.
We’re sure you’ve already come across many times the names of the ingredients of certain products that sound unfamiliar and complicated to you.
The mere meaning of all the ingredients doesn’t have to worry you. It is necessary to know the general ingredients of the traps themselves. Gentle abrasives such as magnesium carbonate, calcium carbonate, hydrated alumina and phosphate salts.
Glycerol, sorbitol and similar “moisturizers” prevent it from drying out. Thickeners such as seaweed, mineral colloids or synthetic cellulose ones give a homogeneous appearance and texture. Fluoride helps make tooth enamel stronger and more resistant to decay.
Flavours, such as saccharin, do not cause tooth decay. “Detergents” such as sodium lauryl sarcosinate to make it foam.
Of course, depending on the benefits attributed by the manufacturer (teeth whitening, reduction of gingivitis, sensitive gums), the compositions may vary, but not to such an extent that you should bother with their content.
Toothpaste, along with a toothbrush, is a basic means of cleaning and maintaining teeth. Preserving health, but also a beautiful, bright smile and pleasant breath without maintaining regular oral hygiene is not possible.
With a toothbrush, only mechanical cleaning is satisfied, but it can brush your teeth more efficiently, keep your mouth healthy and kill bacteria.
Namely, the oral cavity contains over 500,000 bacteria, some of which in combination with the food and drink we consume create acid, and thus plaque that sticks to teeth, destroys tooth enamel and can eventually lead to caries, gingivitis, unpleasant shortness of breath but also tooth loss.
For complete hygiene, it is recommended to use mouthwash, dental floss, interdental brush and visit the dentist regularly.
In the great choice of traps, choosing the right one sometimes seems like an impossible mission. How to distinguish them and what to look for?
The most important thing to know is that it needs to meet 2 main criteria: abrasive particles and fluoride.
Abrasive particles are important because they remove plaque during brushing, and fluoride stimulates remineralization and has an antibacterial effect.
Today, almost all of them meet both criteria, while the additional characteristics depend on the choice and preference of the customer, but also the advice of the dentist.
The advice of a gold dentist is worth it, so do not hesitate to seek the advice of a dentist so that you can more easily decide which one is best for you.
We believe that you have encountered many types so far and that you use the one that suits you best. If you are unsure of your choice or have additional questions, we advise you to consult a dentist.
Pay attention to the amount of fluoride in it.
Theodent classic toothpaste
Research shows that children swallow 30-75 percent of it while brushing their teeth. Classic fluoride-based ones have a warning on the packaging about the possible harmful effects of fluoride if swallowed.
Theodent also offered a solution for the youngest: Theodent Kids. This is based on cocoa extract and does not contain fluorides.
The most interesting thing is that the pasta tastes like chocolate. What regularly raises dust in oral hygiene is the ingredient fluoride – the main ingredient in most of them.
Namely, although fluoride prevents the decay of damaged teeth, breaks down bacteria and strengthens teeth by accelerating remineralization, in recent research it has been shown to be harmful to health.
In excessive amounts, it can cause severe damage to teeth, bones and the central nervous system, while in children it can interfere with biological development.
Therefore, when buying, check the fluoride concentration, which can be up to 0.15 per cent, ie. 1450 ppm (parts per million), but keep in mind that children under 6 should not use these ones.
Regardless of fluoride, everyone chooses according to their needs and desires. So many will choose the one that has a “whitening” label on it.
While some contain slightly abrasive baking soda that binds to tooth stains, others contain stronger chemicals.
If used for a long time, these highly abrasive chemicals such as hydrogen peroxide or calcium peroxide can wear out tooth enamel and result in an unpleasant yellow colour. Many have sensitive teeth, especially hot and cold.
This is a very unpleasant problem, and excessive sensitivity of the teeth that is not treated can lead to various health problems.
In addition to the need to visit the dentist, you can buy the one that contains strontium chloride and potassium nitrate.
When these substances are used according to the instructions, they can create a blockage between the tooth surface and the internal nerves and thus alleviate the sensitivity of the teeth.
Also, it is good to know that those with sensitive teeth should avoid the ones that contain sodium lauryl sulfate.
After a tasty meal, plaque forms on the teeth (a white surface layer) that can harden after a while and turn into tartar deposits that are difficult to remove. Of course, your dentist will best remove tartar.
These types can also help control bad breath. Look for the ones that contain fluoride, although pyrophosphates and zinc citrates are also common.
Namely, due to it, bacteria in the teeth can become resistant to antibiotics and other drugs and have a detrimental effect on hormones. Instead of sugar, look for supplements of xylitol, mannitol, stevia extract and sucralose.
Theodent toothpaste is an innovative Rennou-based toothpaste based on an ingredient that replaces so many ubiquitous fluorides and is based on cocoa beans – we brush our teeth with chocolate.

I highly suggest using this product! I’ve always had (i dislike admitting it…) less than white (aka yellow-ish) teeth.
I never want to use any of the generic BS that has awful ingredients. I have always trusted sources like sky & medicinal-foods- so when i saw this release, I was so stoked to get it. It tastes amazing (unlike other eco-friendly toothpastes) and i am now a forever user!! with just 1 week of use, I can sense a slight whiter tone…and i’m excited to see what happens after 30-60-90 days. I am also using the dentite tooth serum with this!
